Last Week was a pretty good one

   On friday friday from last week, mostly everybody got their report cards and I did somewhat well, but the main important part was that I put some effort into it and my parents were happy that I did good for a new kid, since you start on everything totally different. On the same day, my dad took me to best buy to buy me a Xbox 360 and I was really excited becuase I didn't think I was gunna get it.

   Most of my weekend I spent home becuase i just wanted to play it, but I got bored for some reason and went to go play soccer at the park, and while I was there I met up with a couple of my old friends while they were also playing soccer too. After the soccer game finished it was 4-1 and my team won the game, so I went to new roc with them and I went to arcade section to dance and the guy who works there gave me and my brother some free credits so we could play for free. While I was dancing, I saw one of my favorite arcade games when I was a kid and I played it for the fun of it, but I don't remember what the name of it was called since I was too excited.

  Finally when I got home I started to play my Xbox again and then some of my family who live like 3 apartments down came up to hang out with my family and then the party didn't end until like 5 in the morning. That was like my whole weekend which was really fun.

What I've been looking for

    Every year it comes even though no one likes it.  You guessed it the winter ugh.  There is no point of winter, I mean it only makes people upset.  There are good things about winter but not many.  The only good things are hollidays, breaks from school, snow days, and real basketball.  But there is that hole bre4ak for summer not in winter, there is summer ball (outside b-ball)

Trying to find something to do on spring break

   This weekend is a very long weekend coming up, I'm guessing its the last one and then from here and on is the summer vaction, I'm still faciliating on what I should do over the weekend like hang out with my friends, go to new roc, or just staying home. I called some people to ask if there gunna be busy the weekend becuase some usally are, I told them what I was planning on doing and some entice a lot becuase they found out how fun my plans are. When I go to new roc city, I usally go to the arcade section and the only game in the entire arcade that I play is called Pump It Up Pro. Its a dancing game which has a lot of arrows and makes the game harder. I know people from the machine and from the inside people who work, But that isn't the only thing I'm gunna do.

   If the weather is good, I would rather play soocer then be at new roc, and most of the time I usally play at issac, trinity, or the high school with other people. When I play, I have many strategies that I use when I'm on the field. Other kids just copy what I do and end up losing. I still have a bedlam for what to do on the weekend because I don't know if there all gunna be avaliable or not. Thw good thing about all of this is that even if I dont do anything, I still have the option of being awake all night if I feel like it.

  The main concept of this is just for me to find out what to do becuase I don't wanna be bored this whole entire weekend, and after its all done, on monday we  get an extra day so in case I didn't do anything the weekend, I could probably do somthing on that day, I just hope that this weekend lasts becuase I don't wanna come back to school again for the rest of the year. Anyways if theres something to do, I'll eventually find out, since tomorrow is friday atleast make it last.

Lacrosse... The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

     I just started playing lacrosse this year, and I really enjoy it. There are a few things that in my opinion can change. First is all the running, I think that there can be less, but then again it wouldn’t be as fun. There are a few other things I will tell you about, but not until later.

            Well, I know I told you about this in a previous blog, but I love this game so much, that I am writing about it again. My dad has taught me a lot and I really appreciate it, because he facilitated me in making the team. He played both in high school and college, so I think I will be learning a lot from him. Also, to top it off I will be getting help from a friend of my dad, his son lead the nation in goals scored last season!! That is absolutely amazing!!

           

            Lacrosse is my favorite sport and I love it. It has the most running of any sport (that is a fact), and even though it gets annoying to run so much, I like the action. I have had a few practices so far and to tell you the truth I am not the best player on the team, but I am not the worst either.

            There are a few more points that I don’t like about lacrosse. Another example is that it is vital that you wear a lot of protective gear that wears you down, especially when you are running. Another factor is injuries, lacrosse, like football is a contact sport and you can get seriously hurt or even die, but I still am going to play and I am going to have fun.           

            In my opinion lacrosse is a great sport and I love it so much. I have played for a long time but I never realized how much  fun it really was.

 

I'm with the legends on this one

    

    Hey so over the years there ha been asked one of the most contravertional questions ever.  That question is who's better the Mets or Yankees.  I with certanty say it's the Yanks.  If you disagree I'll show you why you're wrong.  See I entice people while getting electorates for rooting for the Yankees.

    A lot of people all say that id doesn't matter about the past it's about now.  Well I disagree but even though, now neither of them are better than the other because no matter how many wins they got their strategies were to make the playoffs both teams didn't even make it.  To facilitate everything, now they're just even.

    Overall there is no dought Yankees are the better team.  All you have to really do is just look at the world series wins; Yankees are entitled to 26;  Mets-2.  Pretty pathetic right?  Well that's not all if you think about there some Yankee players that everyone knows.  Look at the Mets maybe 1; Yankees-Babe Ruth, Yogi Berra,  Lou Gerhig, Mickey Mantle, Phil Rizzuto and so on. Mets- Willie Randolph who played for theYankees too.  Now a days it's true the Mets have some good players that will be hall of famers but Yamkees those players too.  Yankees- Derek Jeter, Alex Rodriguez, Jorge Posada, Mariano Rivera, Andy Pettite, probably Joba Chamberlain, Johnny Damon, and Mike Mussina and others.  The Mets- Pedro Martinez, Jose Reyes, Carlos Beltran, Carlos Delgado, Johan Santana, Billy Wagner and David Wright.  So that catagory is even.

    All Mets fan say that the only reason the Yankees have won their past 5 or so and why they win all the games they do is because of their money.  Well it's true I'm not going to argue, but the way they got their money is what I disagree with.  People say that their money comes from their owner but that's not true, they got their money partly from the owner the rest was from winning those 20 or somewhat world series before they got a rich owner.  So because of those victory's they had that money that can buy any player they pretty much want, for ex. A-rod.

    After all that if you look at the facts all written on paper the Yanks are definately the better team.  Now I hate to say it but they're dead even both are good teams but neither got further or won the World Series so that season they weren't the best, but on paper the Yankees should have won.   But in all time overall you can't argue the Yankees are better.

Opinion On "Nothing But the Truth"

 

Dear Avi

Mr. Avi I will like to talk about the book “Nothing but the Truth “. First I will like to say you are a great author you have wrote many good books but this book is my favorite out of all of the good books you wrote. Most of all I like the theme or the concept of the book. I liked the fact that you made Philip lie just a little about singing the “star-spangled banner” instead of saying he hummed you made him say he sang.

The characters I liked the most were Jenifer Stewart “The Reporter”. The reason I liked her is because she misconstrues the story that she got from Philip Malloy. She changes the story by saying Philip is in 10^th grade, when Philip is 9^th grade. She also said Philip was still trying out for the spring track tea, when he said he wasn’t. The other character I like was Philip himself the main reason I like him is because he is the main character and there are also many little reasons that I will talk about. One of the many reasons I like Philip because he is a vital character in the book. I especially like his animosity of Miss. Narwin.

The thing I don’t like about the book mostly is near the middle of the book when he starts to bring the lie into the world. In think you could have done that better like make it through a letter or making a blog like our teacher Mrs. Hill.  That could have been a passive choice that you made and I can understand that but this is just my opinion towards the book which I really I mean rally loved.

Who's left in UNC's way?

There are four teams left in the NCAA March Madness Tournament, this is entitled The Final Four. Michigan St. Spartans, Uconn Huskies, Villanova Wildcats and UNC Tar heels. As a huge fan I want UNC to win but I also think they have a really good shot. 

The UNC Tar heels are lead by All-American, Multi Record Holder and Naismith Nominee (2nd year in a row) Tyler Hansbrough and star point guard Ty Lawson. This is Hansbrough's last year at North Carolina and I'm sure he wants to win a National Championship badly. Other stars such as Ty Lawson, Wayne Ellington and Danny Green will probably be declaring them selves to go to the NBA Draft after this season, so this will be an emotional game for the heels. The Tar heels play Villanova in the semifinals of the tournament. They are favored to win and I think they will to. Villanova has a good team and a lot of speed but I don’t feel they can match up with the talent and height of the powerhouse North Carolina. Carolina receives many beneficiaries by having a long list of talent on their roster. Coach Roy Williams’ basketball strategies have been genius and he is the backbone for their success. He is not a passive coach and gets very into the games. A lot of teams and fans have feelings of animosity towards the Tar heels, but only because they are so good. I think they will win on Saturday against the Villanova Wildcats.

After that game, if they win, they will move on to play either Uconn or MSU for the championship. I believe they can beat both teams but Michigan St. beating Uconn would facilitate things for the heels. Uconn is a tougher opponent then MSU would be but I’m not worried. When I go to the Final Four in Detroit this weekend I want to see UNC win it all.

What Is Up With That?

         You know what really gets me mad? I’ll tell you what. It makes me mad when I find out that a famous athlete that I admire has been caught using steroids. Athletes are held in high esteem, they are adored by millions of fans, most of which are kids just like me. I have been playing in New Rochelle Little League for eight years and there is not a season that goes by that I don’t fantasize about how great it would be to make it to the Major Leagues. I have thought about what that would be like for not just my self but for my family and my future family, which will hopefully include children. I can just imagine the excitement and pride I would feel.

         I think when people are lucky enough to have their talents recognized by the whole country; they have a responsibility to behave in an honest and dignified way. Fans look up to these people and consider them idols, which I think is ok because so few people make it that far. The problem is when athletes let fame and greed get the better of them. Athletes are judged on their natural athletic ability. Anyone can take steroids and then break records. I find it hard to believe the athletes who use illegal steroids can stand in front of their fans with a clear conscience knowing they only did so well by cheating.

     It happens all the time players are questioned about using steroids and they lie, lie, and lie until they finally are forced to come clean. It is ridiculous .It is embarrassing and disappointing for all involved, but especially for the fans who support the players by coming to games and purchasing merchandise with the players name on it.

     What should happen to thee players? That’s the question what are teams and sponsors supposed to do? What are the fans left with? Well, they are left with broken promises not broken records. I think the only thing to do is to completely drop any player who decides to use steroids. There can be no second chances. Players who have the chance to play in the majors are so lucky. They need to rely on their own talent and hope that it carries them far. I would not let any player caught using drugs back into my team. That sound harsh, but I say you need to make the penalty so tough that players won’t risk doing it.

     Baseball is a big part of my life and a very patriotic and American hobby. Steroids have taken a lot of the magic out of the sport. We should do all we can to make sure that players do not use steroids. 

What i want to be when i grow up?

            When I grow up I want to be a Car and or weapons designer. I will talk about why I want to be a Car and or Weapons designer for many I will also talk about what the, what you will be doing, and the reasons, become a Weapons Designer or a Car designer.

            First I will talk about how to become a Weapon Designer. To become weapons designer you will need to know what type of weapons you will like to make for instance you might want to design knifes nuclear bombs, or just maybe even swords. Let me tell you if you want to make guns you will have to go through many shop classes such as math, drawing, and even drafting, that’s just for designing guns you may have to take other classes for designing many other things.

            Too become a car designer is somewhat different then becoming a weapon designer, you have to take art or drawing classes and you have to be able to work fluently with numbers to basically math. You have to get good grades in math, physics, you national language and good grammar. You might say, where should I sign up? You should sign up somewhere near you and someone that will feel you r needs and maybe wants. To get in a good school you have to have a good application and a good portfolio to back it up with and it better be good because schools tend to get the best applicants. Some schools even have links to car industries which might include knowing engineering others might just have you modeling and intensive workshops.

            The main reason why I want to become a Weapon Engineer is so I can be able to deal with guns and design them to help better save peoples life. I also want to be a Weapon engineer is because I like math and shop classes like Technical education and I love drafting and using my hands. I would want to be a Car designer because I always loved cars and the way people design them my main inspiration for cars came from all The Fast and furious  movies that I saw.  

   

           

What I want to be in the future?

   What I probably want to be in the future is a lawyer, technition, or a sports player. These jobs are what most intrest me and what I want to do in the future. It's hard to pick which one I want to become becuase these are all good jobs and have their own purposes, like each one has something good for me in the future and some might not. These jobs have their advantages and some might not, also you might need education or practicing for several years or a degree to prove your ready for the job.

  Many people today have suceeded in their futures, some became what they wanted to be and some didn't. The stars of today had different dreams other than becoming popular and famous on TV. My goal is to suceed in school and have a good future and if you drop out of school it isn't really a good choice becuase your probably not gunna have a good future. Many people that are stars today had different dreams of becoming something else and sometimes they really don't like being a celebrity because its a lot of work to do and to have fans think good about you.

 When I go to high school, there should be a program called BOCES and it helps you choose what job you wanna do and shows you how and what to do on the job. This program makes it easier to pick what you wanna do because it shows you what you have to do and gives more options. This is also another good way to help because you might have to get a degree for it and this way you begin learning on what you have to do, so at the same time while you get a job, your still getting your education. Today I'm still not sure what I wanna be, but by the time I enter the high school and join the BOCES program it should help alot.
